Kyoto

The ancient capital of Japan, Kyoto, still has a today a strong identity, appearing like any other major city but hiding so much beneath its modern appearance. Ancient wooden Buddhist temples, Shinto sanctuaries among the most fascinating of Japan, traditional Japanese gardens that have captivated western architects and old neighborhoods filled with historical art, all of this present in this wonderful city surrounded by mountains.

Living in Kyoto means feeling in the center of Japan, physically and culturally. It’s a city that attracts everyone: travelers, students, fans of Japanese traditions. Kyoto is neither an old city or a modern one, is both, where past and present coexist is in perfect harmony.
